Surrounded by our garden, this lake side "cottage" is designated as a Heritage House under the Ontario Heritage Act.
It was built in 1886, across the street from the Mettawas Resort and Casino, a Grand Hotel, constructed by Hiram Walker.
Our cottage is all that remains: Mettawas End.
Two large, comfortable bedrooms - each with private bath - are available for our guests. Along with King or Queen-size bed, they both provide a sitting area, cable TV, a desk with wireless internet, fridge and air-conditioned comfort.
The great room is ideal for rest, reading, or breakfast.
If you wish, enjoy a relaxing sauna or a jaccuzi, or both.
A Library offers a quiet area with nice light provided by an original lead stained-glass bow-window.
Walks nearby, include the Harbour (where you can catch the ferry to Pelee Island), Lakeshore Park and the beaches across the street.
